Common Name:  Common Beech
Description: A deciduous tree, popular for hedging. Leaves turning rich copper in the autumn  and retaining the dead leaves over winter. 
Size: Higher than 12m and spreading wider than 8m
Growing Conditions: Moist but well drained soil in full sun or partial shade
Uses: hedging, pleach hedging, wildlife and as a tree for large gardens and parklands
